About the Founder
I grew up in small town Iowa, Ionia, and attended St. Boniface Catholic school while delivering newspapers for The Charles City Press. I graduated high school in New Hampton in 1965. After that on to NIACC in Mason City and then joined the USNR and spent time in the Pacific during Vietnam. When I got home I was hired by Deere & Co. and spent 31 years there retiring in 2003. Then on to Oakridge Realtors until the present time and now on to Soltice Station where I am the founder/manager.
I also am the vice president of The Friends of KUNI/KHKE 90.9 Iowa Public Radio. We sponsor the Blues Blow Out at Electric Park and various music events at local music venues.
